About the position

The HR Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the onboarding process for new hires at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. This position requires independent judgment and discretion, focusing on creating a positive onboarding experience that aligns with the mission and vision of Human Resources. The specialist will handle high-volume data, communicate essential information to new hires, and ensure all pre-employment requirements are met in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct the full cycle of the onboarding and hiring process for candidates.
  • Communicate health system and position details to new hires before their start date.
  • Inform new hires about required licenses and certifications.
  • Ensure completion of all pre-employment requirements for timely clearance before the new hire starts.
  • Enter onboarding actions in Lawson Talent Acquisition system.
  • Organize and facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO).
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate required; Associate Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources, compensation, recruitment, selection, training, and employee benefits.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and equal opportunity compliance.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly intermediate proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
