About the position

The HR Onboarding Specialist at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is responsible for managing the full cycle of the onboarding and hiring process for new candidates. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment, ensuring a positive onboarding experience that aligns with the organization's mission and vision. The specialist will handle pre-employment requirements, facilitate New Employee Orientation, and maintain accurate records in the HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct the full cycle of the onboarding and hiring process for new candidates.
  • Communicate health system and position details to new hires before their start date.
  • Ensure completion of all required pre-employment paperwork and requirements.
  • Participate in organizing New Employee Orientation (NEO).
  • Enter onboarding actions in Lawson Talent Acquisition system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources, compensation, recruitment, selection, training, and employee benefits.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and equal opportunity compliance.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
