About the position

The Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in the Human Resources department at Carson Tahoe Health, a not-for-profit healthcare system located in Carson City, NV. This full-time exempt position requires variable hours, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate the onboarding needs of physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs). The specialist will work with minimal supervision to coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process across the health system, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into their roles. This involves building strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including administration, HR, medical staff, education, employee health, and system leadership. The goal is to streamline processes and enhance support for both the health system and the community it serves. The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing onboarding programs that align with the organization's mission and values. This includes creating training materials, conducting orientation sessions, and providing ongoing support to new employees as they acclimate to their roles. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment. The specialist will also be involved in evaluating the effectiveness of onboarding programs and making recommendations for improvements based on feedback from new hires and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires across the health system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare, human resources, onboarding, training, and/or physician/APC relations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
