About the position

The HR Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Talent Acquisition and Compensation Teams, as well as various departments within SBH. This position is responsible for managing the onboarding process for incoming candidates, tracking position management, and generating essential reports to facilitate effective recruitment and onboarding. The specialist will ensure compliance with organizational policies and collective bargaining agreements while promoting a professional healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate tracking and updated Active & Drafts, and Vacancy reports for Compensation & TA Teams.
  • Write and post all vacancies consistent with organizational policies and collective bargaining agreements, including in-house internal posting schedule.
  • Assist in onboarding with incoming candidates.
  • Assist in management and coordination of internal transfer and transition requests with PAFs.
  • Comply with all regulatory agency standards in the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Manage Applicant Tracking System to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment and onboarding process for SBH & UCHC.
  • Apply Collective Bargaining Agreements as necessary for positions including, but not limited to posting requirements.
  • Perform any duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year experience in HR or Talent Acquisition; new grads will be considered.
  • Demonstrates understanding of EEO guidelines and what constitutes potential discriminatory pre-employment practices.
  • Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting or knowledgeable of the healthcare/hospital industry.
  • Familiarity with union environments and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Experience in scheduling and coordinating events.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Some experience with various HRIS Systems: ADP, Kronos, Taleo, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word/Excel, Internet, and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of advertising media and websites.
  • Good listening and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan timely events.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective time-management capabilities.
