About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at Ashley HomeStore serves as the primary contact for managers throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for new hires. This role involves proactive outreach and support to various stakeholders, including hiring managers, Talent Acquisition Specialists, and the HR team, to facilitate a successful onboarding journey.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timely and correct onboarding of employees, from offer creation to registration of new employees in HRIS system.
• Identifies issues with processes and creates a plan to resolve the issues.
• Works closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinators to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
• Provides support to new employees through orientation and training periods.
• Follows up with new employees and managers to proactively identify concerns and implement/recommend solutions.
• Performs I-9 audits and ensures all reverifications are done timely.
• Provides reports and metrics as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years' experience as an HR Onboarding Specialist or equivalent HR role.
• Experience with Ultimate Software system preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to plan and control projects.
• Excellent communication skills/ability to interact with employees on all levels.
• Collaborate with management to develop products and services.
• Strong technical skills.
• Outstanding organizational ability, trustworthy, and great attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
