About the position

The Onboarding Coordinator observes, trains, and coaches all new hires within their first 60 days. They are responsible for the successful performance and goal achievement related to workplace safety, food safety/quality, and production requirements of new hires within the facility's Onboarding Program. The Onboarding Coordinator works to build relationships between new hires and production management. The onboarding coordinator is required to meet with production management weekly to review the new hires' performance and training plan.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 90% of time on the floor, with 10% off the floor for administrative duties.
  • Handle daily new hire check-in forms and weekly reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety directives and manage the overall experience of new hires.
  • Demonstrate hands-on training techniques for new hires and make recommendations to the Onboarding Supervisor.
  • Administer and track all new hire floor training including hours of training, qualification status, attendance, and turnover.
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers, and leaders.
  • Meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and new hire performance.
  • Fulfill key performance indicators such as retention rates and safety observations.
  • Instill company values and ensure timely qualification of trainees.
