About the position

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for facilitating the onboarding process for clinicians, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. This position involves managing various onboarding activities, collaborating with multiple departments, and providing support to clinicians throughout their first year of employment. The Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing clinician experience and retention by building relationships and addressing any issues that arise during the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding process for new and existing clinicians.
  • Create individualized onboarding plans for each clinician.
  • Facilitate communication between relevant departments and clinicians.
  • Obtain and track onboarding documents for clinicians.
  • Provide regular communication and support to clinicians.
  • Resolve conflicts and manage clinician expectations throughout the onboarding process.
  • Build relationships with clinicians to support retention outcomes.
  • Provide project management and coordination skills to achieve onboarding goals.
  • Use critical thinking and independent judgment to navigate onboarding plans.
  • Document all actions and maintain database integrity.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to team goals.

Requirements

  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple files and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • College degree preferred or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database management software.
  • Familiarity with technology and adaptability to updates.
  • Ability to handle confidential data and stressful situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and teamwork.
