About the position

The Onboarding Specialist for Self-Directed Services at The Arc Central Chesapeake Region plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) by facilitating the onboarding process for their employees. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with hiring and training standards while providing exceptional customer service to Participant employers. The role is fully remote but requires occasional travel to the headquarters or other sites in Maryland for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and customer support to Participant employers during the onboarding process.
• Process and verify new hire documentation and I-9 documentation.
• Facilitate the completion of payroll forms and background screenings.
• Support the administration of employee benefits.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external best practices and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in business or human resources preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in human resources processing onboarding and new hire documentation using an HRIS system.
• Demonstrated high level of customer service experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities and populations.
• Detail-oriented, highly responsive, and clear communicator.
