About the position

The Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the recruitment efforts of West Tennessee Healthcare. This position focuses on executing recruitment strategies, sourcing candidates, and managing the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. The specialist will engage with candidates, coordinate interviews, and maintain organized records to meet the strategic goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications and source top candidates for the recruitment team.
  • Understand job description requirements and minimum qualifications for various positions.
  • Use sourcing tools and techniques to identify and attract candidates.
  • Support the Talent team with launching hiring campaigns and attending hiring events.
  • Schedule interviews for the recruitment team.
  • Coordinate start dates for new hires according to HR forms.
  • Ensure all onboarding paperwork is received and processed by orientation deadlines.
  • Exercise efficient judgment, confidentiality, and sensitivity in various situations.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships in the course of work.
  • Utilize various recruitment resources to build a candidate pipeline.
  • Contribute to the overall workflow of the department as a team player.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Execute and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Order background checks and monitor pre-employment clearances.

Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred with experience in a talent acquisition environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting a recruitment team preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with applicant tracking system software and job recruiting software is highly desired.
  • Understanding of general hiring practices.
