About the position

The Onboarding Experience Specialist at 2020 Companies plays a crucial role in the hiring and onboarding process, serving as the main point of contact for new hires from the interview stage through to the completion of their training. This full-time position is designed for individuals who excel in relationship-building and understand the importance of fostering positive connections with candidates and potential employees. The specialist will conduct final interviews, make hiring decisions, and provide ongoing support and direction during the onboarding and orientation process. This includes facilitating both one-on-one and group meetings with new hires on a recurring basis, ensuring that they feel welcomed and informed throughout their transition into the company. In this role, the Onboarding Experience Specialist will be responsible for demonstrating the company’s culture and values during orientation, maintaining open lines of communication, and reporting on retention and development metrics to the leadership team of each new hire. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure that new hires are fully prepared for their roles, which includes coordinating training dates, issuing credentials, and auditing course completions. The specialist will also administer sentiment surveys to gather feedback and partner with the training team to implement process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of best practices in onboarding and will be adept at creating documentation and processes that enhance the candidate experience. They will work closely with field management to ensure that hiring standards are met and that the selection process is aligned with the diverse needs of the market. This role is pivotal in contributing to a positive candidate experience and ensuring that new hires are set up for success from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct final interviews and make hiring decisions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new hires from interview to training completion.
  • Facilitate 1-on-1 and group meetings with new hires on a recurring basis.
  • Report on retention and development to each new hire's leadership team.
  • Demonstrate company culture and values throughout orientation.
  • Coordinate training dates with field management.
  • Ensure new hire credentials are issued and received before training.
  • Audit and follow up on course completion within the new hire's first days of employment.
  • Facilitate orientation training calls for field behaviors, strategy, and expectations.
  • Administer NHO sentiment survey and partner with the training team for process improvements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in interviewing, hiring selection, onboarding, and field management.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to create and modify spreadsheets via formulas, V-Look ups, pivot tables and other advanced Excel functions.
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.
