About the position

Altruist is seeking a highly experienced Onboarding Specialist dedicated to ensuring a seamless transition to Altruist brokerage for enterprise-level firms. This role is crucial in driving high satisfaction, adoption, and retention among clients. The Onboarding Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert on Altruist's core product offerings, operational processes, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both operations and service within financial institutions, which will significantly enhance their ability to support clients during the onboarding process. In this position, the Onboarding Specialist will lead and optimize onboarding strategies tailored for large-scale enterprise firms. They will collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to customize onboarding solutions that leverage Altruist's resources, ensuring a white-glove experience for clients. Building a trusting partnership with advisors is essential, as is the ability to create a comprehensive plan for migrating their business to Altruist while maximizing the platform's benefits. The role involves connecting various teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance, to ensure a smooth migration experience. The Onboarding Specialist will also be responsible for creating and executing personalized training sessions for key features of the Altruist platform, addressing the specific needs of different enterprise stakeholders and staff. By anticipating customer questions and proactively addressing issues, the Onboarding Specialist will foster strong customer relationships and contribute to the overall success of the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize onboarding strategies for large-scale enterprise firms
  • Work with senior executives and stakeholders to customize enterprise-level onboarding solutions
  • Serve as a trusted partner by utilizing expertise in the RIA industry
  • Tailor approach to meet each customer's specific needs
  • Connect dots across Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams
  • Ensure a timely and efficient migration of committed assets
  • Create and execute personalized training for key features of the Altruist platform
  • Strengthen customer relationships in partnership with Sales counterparts
  • Anticipate customer questions; flag issues and risks early
  • Create a sense of calm and trust throughout the transition experience
  • Manage multiple concurrent migrations of varying complexity
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of onboarding collateral and artifacts
  • Champion customer needs internally to help prioritize product roadmap decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and morale
  • Move seamlessly between migration efforts, project work, and other related duties

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar enterprise B2B role
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Deep knowledge of the Registered Investment Advisor landscape
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licensed (required)
  • Proficient with core customer success tools (e.g., Salesforce, Google Apps, MS Excel)
  • Proven track record in managing complex onboarding processes for large, complex RIAs
  • Successful track record of project managing complex enterprise onboarding efforts
  • Ability to correlate customer pain points and needs to Altruist business value
  • Creative problem solver with expertise in product development and wealth management
  • High emotional intelligence; ability to build trust quickly
  • Demonstrates executive-level presence and excels in communication, presentation, and active listening skills
  • Flexible mindset and ability to rapidly adapt to new demands and challenges
  • Adaptable in handling frequent changes, delays, and unforeseen events
