The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a customer-service oriented Onboarding Specialist, who will report to the Sr Manager Talent Acquisition within our People & Culture department. This role serves as the primary contact for welcoming all new hires to the Dallas Fed. The Onboarding Specialist carries the important responsibility of ensuring that new hires are well-prepared and excited to join our team. This includes completing all related and required screenings and providing an outstanding onboarding experience. In this position, you will guide candidates from the offer acceptance stage through their first day and week with the Bank, ensuring they receive the finest customer service. You will support Talent Acquisition and People & Culture stakeholders by managing all related start-date readiness processes, which includes tracking and monitoring background checks, drug screens, and other checks associated with the onboarding process. Compliance with policies and procedures regarding the results of all background processes is crucial, and you will coordinate escalations on adjudication when applicable. Additionally, you will audit and support reviews of related processes, including operating procedures, controls, record retention, and vendor follow-up/monitoring. You will produce new hire packets and execute Day 1 orientation, manage inquiries regarding employment verifications, and ensure compliance with US law. As the primary contact for new hires, recruiters, background check processors, and hiring managers, you will schedule and coordinate pre-employment appointments, prepare the path to the start date, and partner with IT to ensure all equipment needed for new hires is ready and available for use. This role also involves serving as a representative and subject matter expert on relevant Federal Reserve System workgroups, making it a vital position within the organization.
