About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at alliantgroup, LP plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and presentation skills. The specialist will work closely with HR and various departments to ensure compliance, successful integration, and retention of new employees, contributing to the company's mission of strengthening American businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for candidates during the onboarding process.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual onboarding presentations.
  • Coordinate with business leaders and the Talent Team to develop customized onboarding plans for various business units/departments.
  • Schedule onboarding with all internal resources, including IT, facilities, and relevant teams.
  • Collect feedback on the onboarding experience and presenters for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure new hires complete necessary paperwork, including contracts, tax documents, and Employee Handbook.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations throughout the onboarding process.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials and presentations.
  • Help foster a welcoming and inclusive work environment to support employee retention.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in employee onboarding.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in onboarding, talent acquisition, or human resources.
  • Minimum 1 year experience presenting in-person and virtual to an audience of 10+ professionals.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage an audience both virtually and in-person.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with new hires and internal teams.
  • Experience with onboarding software and HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices, particularly as they relate to the onboarding process.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong commitment to creating a positive and inclusive onboarding experience.
