Help at Home is hiring an Onboarding Specialist! Help at Home is the nation's leading provider of high-quality support services to seniors and people with disabilities. The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for providing onboarding support for our field staff. Onboarding Specialists are the point of contact for questions surrounding onboarding and compliance. This role requires demonstrating respect, efficiency, and excellent communication skills while maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues. The Onboarding Specialist will ensure that all new hires comply with company, Federal, and State regulations required for employment. They will manage the onboarding process for assigned applicants, creating necessary profiles in various systems to ensure timely and accurate information is stored and tracked throughout the onboarding process. This includes administering background checks, completing I-9s, references, EPS Staff Checks, Social Security Verifications, and certification authentication. The Specialist will also maintain application profiles in the Applicant Tracking System and gather and process employee files, ensuring quality and accuracy of all documents. Communication is key in this role, as the Onboarding Specialist will complete outbound phone calls to assigned applicants at least two times per week and follow up with text messages and emails when phone calls are unsuccessful. They will maintain a positive working relationship with all areas of the business and regularly communicate with direct supervisors to address concerns and offer solutions. Additionally, the Specialist may perform skilled administrative tasks such as maintaining confidential records, answering phones, filing, copying, faxing, and scanning as required. Participation in staff meetings, company-sponsored training, and team meetings is also expected, along with performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in onboarding in high-volume, non-exempt hiring.

  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Suite).
  • Customer service and high phone volume experience preferred.
