About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition from the initial offer to offboarding. This role involves collaboration with various departments to create a positive experience for new hires, maintaining employee records, and handling administrative tasks related to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding process for new employees from offer to offboarding.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR, and hiring managers to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
• Schedule and prepare materials for onboarding sessions.
• Maintain employee databases and update records as necessary.
• Complete badging paperwork and manage the badging process throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Schedule conference room meetings and assist with clerical work.
• Compose and type routine correspondence and reports.
• File correspondence and maintain records.
• Greet visitors and escort them to the appropriate personnel.
• Order and maintain supplies for meetings and office needs.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Proficient typing skills using a personal computer.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills for speaking before groups.
• Basic math skills for handling measurements and calculations.
• Problem-solving skills to deal with various situations and instructions.
