About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at Platinum Communities is responsible for facilitating the hiring and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees into the organization. This role combines recruiting, onboarding, and payroll administration, focusing on providing a seamless experience for new hires from their initial contact through their early days in the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the hiring process by coordinating interviews and communicating with candidates.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Administer payroll processes related to new hires and ensure accuracy in employee records.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
  • Provide excellent communication and support to new employees during their transition.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, or payroll is preferred.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a service-oriented industry is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • SHRM-CP, or related certification a plus but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in senior living or healthcare industries.
  • SHRM-CP certification.
