The Onboarding Specialist at Piedmont Airlines plays a crucial role in supporting Human Resources and Recruiting by managing the new hire process, including conducting background checks and ensuring compliance with TSA and DOT requirements. This position is essential for maintaining the company's standard of excellence in service delivery and requires a motivated and organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Human Resources and Recruiting
• Review background qualifications to ensure compliance with TSA and DOT requirements
• Determine which background checks are required for new hire employees
• Work with various vendors to complete background checks for new hire employees
• Ensure accurate data entry of information into the Workday HRIS System
• Provide support to managers in relation to the employee new hire procedure in the Workday HRIS system
• Perform audits of various databases including I-9 records and criminal history records checks

Requirements

• Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and meet specified deadlines
• Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff
• Advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent writing and speaking skills

Nice-to-haves

• Skilled in computer knowledge and usage
• Knowledge of basic airport procedures and fundamental job requirements for airlines
• Current employee with a minimum six months of service
