About the position

As an Onboarding Specialist at Atlantic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition for new customers into our managed IT services. This position is part of our Project Management Organization (PMO) and involves planning, tracking, and executing tailored onboarding projects from initiation through to support go-live. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact for customers during the onboarding process, ensuring clear and consistent communication while executing the onboarding project plan. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including Technical, Sales, Account Management, and IT Operations, to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting essential meetings such as the Customer Onboarding Kickoff Meeting, Weekly Customer Check-ins, and Customer Pre-Go-Live Meetings. You will maintain detailed onboarding project notes and updates, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and documented accurately. Your ability to multi-task and manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously will be crucial, as you will need to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will oversee the offboarding process for customers who discontinue our services, ensuring that all necessary information is provided to facilitate a smooth transition. The Onboarding Specialist will also be expected to provide valuable feedback and insights to both customers and internal teams, helping to enhance the overall customer experience. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will be essential in building rapport with customers and ensuring their onboarding experience exceeds expectations. Responsibilities

  • Serve as onboarding-customers' primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
  • Utilize ConnectWise to maintain and execute customer-facing onboarding project plans.
  • Manage the completion of all tasks outlined in the Onboarding Project Plan.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure effective, efficient, and timely onboarding.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal technical teams, providing valuable feedback and insights.
  • Conduct necessary customer and internal meetings, including onboarding kickoff and weekly check-ins.
  • Maintain detailed onboarding project notes and updates for internal status meetings.
  • Gather initial information for transfers of services, licenses, and ownerships as necessary for support upon Go-Live.
  • Provide customer engagement team with observations and recommendations based on feedback from the onboarding process.
  • Manage the offboarding process for customers who discontinue services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer-facing role within a tech solutions provider or similar industry.
  • Good understanding of customer onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, including the utilization of PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with IT networking, infrastructure, and data backup concepts.
  • Experience with ConnectWise and IT Glue is a plus.
  • Onboarding or other project management experience at an MSP preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects at once and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
