The Onboarding Specialist at Sequel Med Tech will play a pivotal role in shaping the new hire experience, ensuring that all new employees are seamlessly integrated into the company. This position is essential for maintaining high-touch communication with new hires, their managers, and other cross-functional team members involved in the onboarding process. The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for entering new hires into the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), understanding and adhering to local, state, and federal employment laws, and collaborating with the finance department to resolve payroll issues and register Sequel in new states. Additionally, the specialist will become well-versed in Sequel's benefits to assist new employees effectively and will be tasked with creating and maintaining organizational charts as well as contributing to department-specific work instructions. In this role, the Onboarding Specialist will coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. The specialist will strive to create a supportive atmosphere that helps new employees acclimate quickly to Sequel's culture and operations. Regular assessments and enhancements of onboarding processes will be necessary to improve the overall experience and efficiency. The specialist will maintain consistent, proactive, and personalized communication with new hires throughout the pre-boarding and onboarding phases, acting as the main point of contact for addressing their questions and concerns promptly. Coordination with managers and cross-functional teams will be crucial to provide timely updates and ensure alignment among all parties involved. The Onboarding Specialist will also be responsible for accurately entering new hire information into the HRIS and maintaining data integrity, collaborating with internal and external partners to troubleshoot any HRIS issues. Compliance with I-9 verification for all new hires is a critical aspect of this role. The specialist will contribute to the development and maintenance of department-specific work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs), while continuously gathering feedback to assess and enhance onboarding processes for improved efficiency and experience.
