About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at Sherpack is responsible for assisting the Inventory Department in processing new clients' inbound inventory using Warehouse Management Software (WMS). This role involves cataloging, processing, and organizing SKUs, ensuring that products are received and stored correctly while maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and sorting product from shipping containers.
• Audit new SKUs for weight, dimensions, UPC, and other critical information.
• Catalog/receive product into WMS (Warehouse Management Software).
• Locate desired space for new products and assist with put-aways.
• Handle delicate and sensitive products with care, and report damaged or missing inventory to the Inventory Manager.
• Perform quality control checks on incoming product and communicate with Office Operations Manager on discrepancies or quality issues.
• Assist with other product put-aways or transfers.
• Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with product.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Ensure the workspace is free of debris and safety hazards.
• Be attentive and practice the guidelines of warehouse safety.
• Assist with returns, inventory control, restocks, and shipping as able or when needed.
• Assist in various areas of the warehouse as needed.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• WMS or Database experience preferred.
• Dependable attendance.
• Successful communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in basic math.
• Detail-oriented.
• Independent and self-sufficient.
• Forklift experience and certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with inventory control systems.
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety guidelines.
