About the position

The Human Resources Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to the first day of work. This role involves coordinating background checks, processing pre-hire verifications, and delivering New Hire Orientation. The specialist will also provide updates to managers and candidates, ensuring accurate data flow and a positive onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all steps necessary for bringing on a new hire after the offer acceptance.
  • Conduct background checks and notify candidates post-clearance.
  • Process pre-hire verifications and answer candidate questions.
  • Process I-9s and deliver New Hire Orientation upon arrival.
  • Provide daily updates to managers, candidates, and recruiters.
  • Track the status of candidates and job requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Serve as a liaison between hiring managers, operations, and IT teams.
  • Communicate with new hires and hiring managers regarding onboarding progress.
  • Provide administrative HR support to the onsite HR team.
  • Assist with employee transactions under the direction of RHRM.
  • Create and interpret various reports using Excel and other MS Office Software.
  • Assist with project oversight to ensure timely progress and completion.
  • Maintain electronic employee files and company documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; HR-related degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience; experience in HR onboarding role preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem resolution skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and rearrange priorities on short notice.
  • Solid proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HR tools & technology, such as applicant tracking systems and/or HRIS modules.
