About the position

We're seeking a personable and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join the Exos People Operations team! This is a hybrid role, based in the greater NY/NJ area or Phoenix, AZ, reporting to the People Operations Business Partner & Onboarding Manager. The Onboarding Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the company. This involves developing a relationship with each new hire to facilitate their cultural assimilation and serving as the key point of contact for each new hire, triaging all questions that arise during the onboarding process. The Onboarding Specialist will work collaboratively with hiring managers to onboard all new employees effectively. This includes sending out offer letters and employment agreements, setting up required pre-employment testing/checks, and tracking results such as background checks, drug tests, and I-9 verifications. Additionally, the specialist will send confirmation emails to hiring managers that new hires can begin working and will enter all new hires into payroll. Collaboration with the Payroll Manager is essential to accurately classify and set up each new hire in the HRM System. The role also involves creating electronic employee files for all employees and performing other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, strong customer service skills, and a highly organized approach to work. They should be able to take ownership and responsibility for tasks and assignments to meet deadlines, performing well under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a hard-working and energetic personality. A solid understanding of Microsoft Office software is required, and a passion for sports, fitness, or a high-performance lifestyle is a plus! Detail-oriented problem-solving skills are also necessary for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a relationship with each new hire to facilitate their cultural assimilation.

  • Create electronic employee files for all employees.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements
