About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at Acadian Contractors, Inc. plays a crucial role in facilitating the onboarding process for new employees. This position is responsible for coordinating new hire procedures, managing HR information systems, preparing onboarding materials, and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the company culture. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support internal customers effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct orientation sessions to introduce new employees to the company's culture, mission, and values.
  • Manage HR systems such as UKG & Arcoro for automation in onboarding and employee servicing.
  • Create and maintain onboarding materials such as welcome packets, employee handbooks, training schedules, and organizational charts.
  • Assist new hires with completing employment forms, including tax documents and direct deposit forms.
  • Coordinate with IT and facilities departments to ensure new employees have access to necessary tools, software, and workspace.
  • Perform regular check-ins with new hires during their first 30, 60, and 90 days to gather feedback and address concerns.
  • Monitor key onboarding metrics, such as time to productivity and employee retention rates, to improve the onboarding process.
  • Help new employees feel integrated into the company's culture by organizing team-building activities and social events.
  • Serve as a primary contact for new hires during their transition into the company, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Continuously evaluate and update the onboarding program to ensure it aligns with company goals and the evolving needs of new hires.
  • Ensure that all onboarding processes are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with HR information systems, particularly UKG & Arcoro.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of onboarding best practices and compliance requirements.
