About the position

The Onboarding Specialist role is a contract position focused on supporting the client onboarding process within the financial industry. The specialist will assist prospects in becoming clients by managing inquiries, implementing onboarding activities, and providing technical support. This position is crucial for enhancing the client experience through effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Support an assigned portfolio of prospects during the onboarding process.
• Assist with general onboarding activities and implement tickets.
• Set up deposit accounts and perform Admin IDV tasks.
• Serve as the first point of contact for daily requests from prospects.
• Provide technical support for client operational issues and bank transaction inquiries.
• Communicate effectively to resolve prospect inquiries and applications.
• Guide prospects on their financial business needs in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong partnerships with field relationship advisors and relationship managers.
• Manage a universal, client-facing departmental email box professionally.

Requirements

• Experience in banking and customer service (email, chat, calling).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to meet service level agreements.
• Comfortable handling complex client conversations professionally.
• Prior experience in a consultative client-facing role.
