About the position

The Onboarding Specialist at MGA Homecare is responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and company policies. The specialist will guide new hires through the onboarding process, manage documentation, and support the overall mission of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate new hire onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with new hires and stakeholders, providing high-quality customer service.
  • Guide new hires through the onboarding process, collecting and processing all required documentation, background checks, and credentials.
  • Educate new hires on employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness programs.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to coordinate the shipment and/or assignment of company equipment and access.
  • Coordinate with Hiring Leaders for onboarding, orientation, and training of new personnel.
  • Work with Employee Relations, IT, and HR departments for offboarding steps.
  • Establish, organize, and maintain employee records ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment laws.
  • Perform audits and help develop standard procedures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification through E-Verify.
  • Communicate with the Corporate Recruitment team on all aspects of onboarding new hires and track/report all tasks.
  • Provide first-level support to new hires on benefits, payroll, and policy process queries.
  • Serve as a key resource for other departments regarding onboarding processes.
  • Support and execute the mission, ethics, and goals of the company with professionalism.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in onboarding or Human Resources.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficient with HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective time management and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
