About the position

The Oncology Account Manager plays a crucial role in establishing Kyowa Kirin North America (KKNA) as a leader in Oncology and Rare Diseases. This position focuses on supporting healthcare providers in improving patient health outcomes and building strong relationships within hospital systems and accounts. The role involves effective account management, understanding patient journeys, and collaborating with various teams to drive sales and ensure access to KKNA's products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive effective hospital system and account planning, management, and selling process for hospital systems/accounts.
  • Identify key stakeholders within assigned hospital systems/accounts and build strong relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of oncology and dermatology centers in assigned regions.
  • Support market access needs when necessary.
  • Review and analyze product performance within accounts and take appropriate actions.
  • Educate referral networks on disease best practices and identify appropriate patients.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal/external customers to develop actionable business plans.
  • Conduct formal and informal presentations conveying complex scientific information fluently.
  • Ensure access to KKNA's products for all accounts by working with KOLs, providers, pharmacy, and P&T.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical account management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within institutional, oncology, or rare disease sales.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • High degree of understanding of the Buy & Bill & Market Access marketplace.
  • Strong track record of therapeutic area/product knowledge.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Veeva.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in oncology or rare disease sales.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to present via PowerPoint in front of large groups.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization.
