About the position

The Oncology Clinical Data Analyst at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center plays a crucial role in supporting clinical applications and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position involves working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to implement and manage clinical data systems, generate reports, and oversee clinical performance metrics. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to foster relationships with clinical staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as expert user and oversee internal and external quality databases and reporting systems.
  • Develop and generate ad hoc reports.
  • Oversee all clinical data registries and clinical performance systems, managing all clinical data analytics.
  • Lead the facility's core clinical systems team on clinical IT activities.
  • Project leadership for facility-based implementations of clinical applications software releases and new products.
  • Perform quality audits and track metrics related to clinical application use.
  • Build strong relationships with core customer base and facility leadership.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Utilize conceptual and diagnostic skills to prioritize and manage projects effectively.
  • Coach and facilitate teamwork to assure quality initiatives achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least five years of information systems experience using EMR/EHR and reporting.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and processes.
  • Ability to translate clinical data requests into actionable work products.
  • Excellent leadership and teaching abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and IT personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage programs and projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services.
  • Knowledge of accreditation guidelines such as JCAHO, MQSA, HIPAA, and ACR.
