About The Position

The Oncology Pharmacy Technician PRN position at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center involves performing pharmacy tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience for licensure as per Florida Statutes.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with unit dose, pharmacy orders, and inventory computer systems.
• Experience with I.V. admixtures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe medication orders into the computerized medical record system ensuring completeness as per protocol and policy.
• Process prescriptions and new orders for pharmacist checking.
• Fill medication orders accurately and label preparations correctly.
• Prepare non-sterile and sterile compounding of medications following aseptic techniques and regulations.
• Deliver medications ensuring proper storage based on product stability needs.
• Perform routine quality assurance tasks on medications and equipment.
• Manage inventory by receiving medications and supplies, maintaining stock levels, and addressing supply issues.
