About the position
The Locums Radiation Oncologist Physician position involves providing specialized care in radiation therapy procedures within an outpatient clinic setting. The physician will manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 patients, focusing on treatment visits, follow-ups, and consultations. This role is designed for sporadic coverage, with a structured workday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a noon-call requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of radiation therapy procedures including Conventional Radiotherapy, 3D Radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Photon Beam Radiation Therapy, and Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy.
- Manage approximately 20-25 patients undergoing treatment, including weekly treatment visits, follow-ups, and consultations.
- Provide care in an outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality patient management.
- Participate in noon-call requirements as needed.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.
- Active Iowa license or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).
- COVID Vaccine required.
