About the position

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Hematology Oncology, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying competitive pay packages and comprehensive benefits. This position is a 16-week travel assignment in Portland, OR, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment. You will work 40 hours a week, with shifts scheduled during the day, and be part of a clinical team that is committed to your success.
Responsibilities
- Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
- Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
- Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
- Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit.
- Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
- Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification required.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Oncology nursing experience is necessary.
- Other certifications may be required for this position.
