About the position
Home Care Assistance is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may be unable to care for themselves due to various health challenges. The role emphasizes dignity, patience, and empathy while assisting clients with daily living activities and companionship.
Responsibilities
- Provide light housekeeping and run errands for clients.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications.
- Prepare meals and purchase food for clients.
- Provide personal assistance with toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Engage clients in conversation and companionship to stimulate and encourage them.
Requirements
- Must be 20 years of age or older.
- Proof of caregiving experience is required.
- Strong communication skills and smartphone skills are necessary.
- Must have a reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.
- Ability to assist with transfers up to 150 pounds using assistive devices.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in communication skills is preferred.
- Valid RN License is a plus.
