About the position
The Individual Student Aide at The Baby Fold is responsible for providing one-on-one support to students with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities, including autism. This role involves implementing the student's Individual Education Program (IEP) in collaboration with certified staff, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience. The position is full-time, following the school calendar, and includes opportunities for professional development and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing activities related to the behavioral/education program under the direction of certified staff.
- Collect behavioral data on the assigned student to evaluate their individual educational program.
- Prepare and organize materials needed for daily lesson plans, including setting up and organizing materials at the beginning and end of the day.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or 60 hours of course work preferred.
- Paraprofessional license preferred, or must obtain upon hire.
- Previous experience working with students with learning, behavioral, emotional, or developmental disabilities in an educational or residential setting strongly preferred.
