About the position

The Online Adjunct Faculty position for FAML 150: Introduction to Marriage and Family Studies involves teaching an introductory course that is essential for students pursuing a major or minor in Marriage and Family. The role requires online instructors to mentor students and facilitate learning in a flexible online environment, adhering to the values and standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Instructors are expected to engage with their courses actively and maintain a presence throughout the week.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning in an online environment.
  • Engage with course materials and students at least five days a week.
  • Support the mission and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in teaching.
  • Participate in an online asynchronous assessment if selected for further review.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Family Studies or a related field.
  • Professional experience in a related field is desired.
  • Online and/or classroom teaching experience is helpful but not necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.) is a plus.
