About the position

The Online Adjunct Faculty position for FAML 445: Teaching Family Life Education involves mentoring students and facilitating their learning in an online environment. Instructors are expected to support the mission and values of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while teaching students to prepare and conduct workshops on family life education. This role emphasizes effective teaching strategies and curriculum development, with a flexible work schedule that requires engagement in the course five days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor students in the online learning environment.
  • Facilitate teaching and learning for the course FAML 445.
  • Guide students in preparing curriculum for workshops on family life education.
  • Assist students in marketing their programs and evaluating educational effectiveness.
  • Engage with students actively at least five days a week.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Family Studies or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Family Life Education in community settings preferred.
  • Online and/or classroom teaching experience, preferably in a similar subject.
  • Professional experience in a related field is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with online teaching best practices.
