About the position
The Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Ralphs is responsible for efficiently selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders while ensuring freshness and quality. This role involves assembling orders, processing payments, and providing a positive customer service experience during order pick-up. The position emphasizes adherence to company values and food safety procedures, contributing to a welcoming shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality.
- Assemble customers' online orders and process coupons and payments.
- Deliver and load orders into customers' cars upon arrival for pick-up.
- Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at the time of pick-up.
- Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen for orders.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report discrepancies in pricing, scanning, and item locations to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
- Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards and customer expectations.
Requirements
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment.
- Experience stocking shelves or as a cashier.
