About the position

The Online Onboarding Specialist (OOS) plays a crucial role in facilitating the enrollment and onboarding processes for potential online students. This position ensures that students navigate the admissions process smoothly and meet all necessary requirements set by the college, state, federal, and accrediting agencies. The OOS collaborates with various departments to provide comprehensive support to students from the initial application to the start of their classes.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with students during the admissions process to guide them through enrollment.
  • Ensure students have access to the financial aid department.
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment Coordinator to verify all admissions requirements and documents are submitted.
  • Assist students with any technical issues during the Smarter Measures assessment and provide remediation if necessary.
  • Ensure students meet technology requirements and coordinate with the IT Help Desk for issue resolution.
  • Prepare students for the online orientation process and assist them in navigating the required technology orientation.
  • Work with the campus bookstore to ensure all required learning materials are available.
  • Coordinate with the registrar to complete the scheduling process.
  • Ensure a smooth student experience from onboarding to the start of classes.
  • Assign other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree as a minimum.
  • 2 years' work experience in customer relations.
  • Computer experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Canvas LMS.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely accurate.
  • Ability to utilize time wisely and follow up quickly.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to type accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and communicate responsibly in a timely fashion.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $45,000 - $50,000 yearly.
