About the position

The eCommerce Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of curbside pickup services, acting as the primary contact for stores regarding rollouts, inquiries, and issues with external delivery partners. This role involves coaching store teams to meet performance goals, training shoppers, and ensuring effective communication of eCommerce KPIs to management. The Specialist will also support the launch of new services and monitor program standards across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Send daily/weekly out-of-stock and performance reports to the eCommerce team, Store Operations, and Stores.
  • Partner with store operations to implement best practices to improve performance.
  • Review live issue reporting and communicate immediate opportunities and risks to stores.
  • Monitor store staffing to ensure adequate coverage and coach store teams on scheduling improvements.
  • Coach store teams on customer service practices to enhance curbside business.
  • Execute plans to support business needs to drive sales, performance, and efficiency.
  • Explore process improvement opportunities in partnership with the eCommerce Operations Manager.
  • Support pilot projects to develop business cases for future programming.
  • Support eCommerce operations at all stores within assigned regions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on eCommerce procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Visit stores to monitor program standards, coach/train store teams, and gather feedback.
  • Assist with communication and rollout of new programs, operational changes, and promotions.
  • Conduct meetings, conference calls, and training sessions with stores regularly.
  • Support the Educate and Enrich training for store personnel involved in the eCommerce program.
  • Launch Sprouts' eCommerce service in new locations.
  • Attend meetings with third-party providers to review day-to-day operations and features.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for stores regarding eCommerce questions and monitor eCommerce email for inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of three years of grocery operations experience.
  • Relevant experience as a shopper (in-store or delivery service) preferred.
  • Training experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for customer experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Above average writing, analytical, problem assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret metrics reporting with solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate front-end equipment, register, calculator, scanner, etc.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work weekends and some evenings.
