About the position

The Online Search Coordinator role at Mortgage Connect is a full-time position focused on performing online title searches in various states and counties. This non-exempt role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are detail-oriented. The coordinator will be responsible for monitoring emails, processing title orders, reviewing documents for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor emails and processes related to title orders.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reject incomplete or inaccurate abstractor callback sheets.
  • Conduct online title searches using multiple resources.
  • Review and approve commitments typed by others.
  • Search for and verify titles in real estate records.
  • Retrieve and ensure accuracy of closing files.
  • Type information searched online directly onto the eConnect Callback Sheet.
  • Prepare and upload search packages to Entitle's website.
  • Prepare property reports and title commitments.
  • Analyze and evaluate records relating to titles of homes, land, and buildings.
  • Confer with realtors, lending institution personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Examine deeds, liens, and legal descriptions of property.
  • Analyze chain of title and prepare reports outlining title-related matters.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of practical work experience in the real estate industry or vendor management service.
  • Working knowledge of real estate titles, deed preparation, and closings.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office.
  • Ability to be goal-oriented, detail-oriented, and possess a high level of initiative.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with title insurance processes.
  • Familiarity with Patriot, Pacer, and Child Support Searches.
