About the position

As an Online Shopping Associate at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our members receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner. This part-time position involves performing general warehouse activities, which include pulling merchandise from a pick list, physically breaking down merchandise, building and shrink-wrapping packages, and moving merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area. You will utilize a handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts and update merchandise locations, ensuring accuracy in our inventory management. Additionally, you will be involved in various digital initiatives such as BOPIC, BOPIC Fresh, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club, contributing to the overall omni-channel experience for our members. In this role, you will be expected to carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, supporting the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance. Your daily tasks will include processing member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner, utilizing a handheld scanner device to pick orders from the sales floor, and ensuring that all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, performing general housekeeping duties, and handling damaged goods in accordance with standard operating procedures. Regular attendance is essential for this role, and you will be expected to perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list.
• Physically break down merchandise and build/shrink-wrap packages.
• Move merchandise from sales floor to staging area using a handheld scanner.
• Verify merchandise counts and update merchandise locations.
• Work within all digital initiatives including BOPIC, BOPIC Fresh, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.
• Process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Communicate problems with inventory and/or equipment.
• Ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements.
• Wrap and secure merchandise to pallets prior to transport.
• Print staging tickets, packing slips, and shipping labels.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized SFC area.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area.
• Process returns to the club and determine handling procedures.
• Order supplies for the department.
• Maintain open communication with Home Office liaison regarding ship-from-club processes.
• Report on ship-from-club results regularly.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous order pulling experience preferred.
• Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
