About the position

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional therapy services to students in schools. This is a full-time, school-based position located in Jonesboro, GA, with the flexibility of offering either onsite or teletherapy services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities. Based on the assessment findings, the Speech-Language Pathologist will develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. In addition to providing therapy services to students both individually and in group settings, this position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs effectively. The Speech-Language Pathologist will monitor students' progress regularly and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress reports is also a critical aspect of this role. Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide therapy services to students individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress reports.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or Clinical Fellow.
  • State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
