About the position

The CMM Programmer role is a full-time onsite position based in Orlando, FL, and Huntsville, AL, focused on developing and maintaining CMM programs for dimensional inspection. The role requires recent experience with CMM and involves working with various inspection tools and software to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CMM Program
• Import models into PC-DMIS software for inspection
• Perform dimensional inspection layouts using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other measuring tools
• Assure pieces are within specified geometric tolerances and comply with engineered drawings
• Identify causes of rejects and follow through for corrective action
• Communicate with Customers, Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Engineering
• Document inspection results in required format
• Read and understand blueprints and part drawings, including GD&T
• Provide time estimates for part inspection
• Identify fixture requirements for part inspection

Requirements

• Recent experience with CMM programming
• Proficiency with computers and knowledge of Catia V5 or other solid modeling programs
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle
• Fit for duty and able to pass a drug screening and background check
• Strong attention to detail and good customer relations skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Laser Trackers, Faro Arms, and Photogrammetry
• Familiarity with tooling and optics
• Prior jig and fixture building or tool making experience
• Willingness to learn other measurement software packages
