About the position

The Corporate Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging and effective training programs to employees, focusing on technical skills and knowledge. This role involves developing training materials, managing training sessions, and utilizing various tools and platforms to enhance learning experiences. The trainer will also support the technical learning needs of employees and ensure a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver technical training material including student guides, instructor manuals, assessments, and hands-on classroom activities for Microsoft Office Programs and in-house systems.
  • Incorporate gamification techniques to enhance learner engagement and track progress.
  • Set up and manage AV equipment for onsite training sessions and conferences.
  • Provide cross-platform technical support for Windows and Mac systems.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track and deliver training programs.
  • Foster an engaging, positive, and supportive learning environment, offering targeted training programs to help employees develop and enhance their job skills.
  • Create and lead interactive training experiences and facilitate group discussions, role-playing, and team exercises.
  • Analyze training effectiveness and implement improvements based on data and feedback.
  • Liaise between users and system developers, troubleshooting technical issues and improving systems.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed during trainings and meetings.
  • Assist with hybrid events, ensuring smooth technical operations.
  • Model behaviors and skills taught in training programs.
  • Complete other necessary tasks as assigned by the Learning & Development Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate technical training, curriculum development, or instructional design.
  • Experience designing and implementing gamified learning programs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage diverse learners.
  • Online virtual classroom experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical/audio equipment.
  • Must possess the ability to organize, prioritize workload, and multi-task.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in instructional design, LMS administration, or gamification.
  • Experience in corporate environments with onsite and remote learners.
