About the position
The Onsite Endoscopic Specialist II at KARL STORZ plays a crucial role in enhancing global health by providing hands-on support for advanced medical devices in hospital settings. This position involves collaboration with various departments to ensure the success of surgical procedures, offering a pathway for career growth in medical device sales, leadership, education, or marketing. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, on-site assistance in the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, and Biomed departments at assigned hospitals.
- Set up and maintain KARL STORZ video systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair medical devices.
- Oversee repair and equipment exchange processes.
- Transport, clean, and sterilize instruments after use.
- Train O.R. staff and support departments on the use and maintenance of KARL STORZ devices.
Requirements
- Background in biomedical engineering is a plus.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Strong collaboration skills to build respectful relationships with team members.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyze situations and deliver solutions.
- Effective communication skills for clear interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Technical proficiency in using email, calendars, virtual collaboration tools, and spreadsheets.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in medical device sales or marketing.
- Previous training experience in a healthcare setting.
