The Onsite Endoscopic Specialist II at KARL STORZ plays a crucial role in enhancing global health by providing hands-on support for advanced medical devices in hospital settings. This position involves collaboration with various departments to ensure the success of surgical procedures, offering a pathway for career growth in medical device sales, leadership, education, or marketing. The role emphasizes internal development and skill enhancement, contributing to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, on-site assistance in the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, and Biomed departments at assigned hospitals.
  • Set up and maintain KARL STORZ video systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair medical devices.
  • Oversee repair and equipment exchange processes.
  • Transport, clean, and sterilize instruments after use.
  • Train O.R. staff and support departments on the use and maintenance of KARL STORZ devices.

Requirements

  • Background in biomedical engineering is a plus.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong collaboration skills to build respectful relationships with team members.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyze situations and deliver solutions.
  • Effective communication skills for clear interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Technical proficiency in using email, calendars, virtual collaboration tools, and spreadsheets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in medical device sales or marketing.
  • Previous training experience in a healthcare setting.
