About the position

The position of Native English Teacher involves teaching kindergarten and elementary-level students in Haeundae, Busan, South Korea. The role emphasizes fostering English language development through engaging lessons and creating a bilingual learning environment. Teachers will utilize learning technology and adapt their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those in deaf education.

Responsibilities

• Educate students in the English language, literature, and writing skills.
• Develop and implement instructional design strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create a bilingual learning environment for students who are non-native English speakers.
• Provide specialized instruction for students in deaf education, utilizing appropriate communication methods.
• Utilize learning technology and digital resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Adapt teaching methods for adult learners in an adult education setting.
• Develop and update curriculum materials to align with educational standards and goals.
• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or licensure in English or a related subject area.
• Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
• Bilingual in English and another language is a plus.
• Knowledge of deaf education methods and strategies is desirable.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools and platforms.
• Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students of diverse backgrounds.
