About the position

The Helpdesk position is responsible for providing high-level end-user support for PCs, network systems, email, voice, and network services. The role serves as the primary support contact for users, ensuring effective diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software-related issues while maintaining detailed documentation of problems and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support to end users diagnosing and resolving hardware and software-related problems.
  • Determine the complexity of user-related problems, resolving those within technical expertise and escalating others as necessary.
  • Follow and maintain detailed documentation of problems and the steps taken to resolve them.
  • Develop and maintain technical competency with hardware systems and software programs used by employees.
  • Provide end-user training when deploying new systems and software.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent in IT administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in providing IT support to a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in PC maintenance and diagnostics, installation and troubleshooting of software.
  • Experience with Windows OS and laptops.
