About the position

Indotronix is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support a maintenance program in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The role involves planning and controlling production schedules, resolving conflicts between competing programs, and advising management on work progress and material availability. The engineer will create and maintain Master Production Schedules, analyze workflows to improve efficiencies, and conduct studies related to cost control and production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules; integrating multiple program schedule requests into one executable schedule for production teams
  • Resolves conflicts between competing programs for common resources
  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
  • Creates, maintains and statuses network-based Master Production Schedules in support of E-6B programs
  • Understands critical path schedule network processing, driven by logic, durations and date constraints
  • Experience with IMP/IMS schedule structure and Work Breakdown Structures
  • Exports schedule data to Excel and collaborates with responsible parties to report schedule status and productivity metrics
  • Identifies and analyzes critical and driving paths
  • Loads schedules with resources, including labor and material
  • Aligns program schedules with MRP/ERP and shop floor MES systems
  • Integrates external customer or subcontractor program activity into the master production schedule
  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies in production facilities
  • Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
  • May establish accident prevention measures and manage training programs for personnel
  • Conducts studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant area of study and 4 years of experience
