About the position

The Principal Electrical Engineer will support the Circuit Design organization in San Diego, CA, focusing on detailed electrical mixed circuit design and circuit level analysis. This role involves hands-on technical challenges, problem-solving, and collaboration across departments in a fast-paced environment. The engineer will also prepare test procedures and reports, design using LabView, and support hardware production manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical mixed circuit design and circuit level analysis.
• Support qualification testing and prepare test procedures and reports.
• Design using LabView and support hardware production manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot electrical hardware hands-on.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 8 years of relevant experience; OR master's in electrical engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and board layout using Altium Designer.
• Experience with test equipment such as multimeter, O-scope, signal generator, DC/AC power supplies, and network analyzer.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.
• Experience with design, development, and troubleshooting of NI LabView and NI Teststand Software.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to work with minimal direction or guidance.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on mixed circuit design.
• Experience with development and design of automated test equipment.
• Experience with OrCAD, Pspice, or LTspice for circuit simulation.
• Experience using FPGA, CPLD and micro-controllers.
• Experience with IPC and Military standards.
