About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our distribution center. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient inventory management and logistics processes while maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of e-commerce operations, inventory control, and materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high productivity levels.
- Manage inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing improvements.
- Coordinate logistics activities to optimize distribution efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse.
- Utilize AS400 software for inventory management and reporting purposes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee the mechanical maintenance of warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management and control within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Proficiency in AS400 or similar inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes related to e-commerce operations.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Must be forklift certified.
- Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
