About the position

The Onsite Licensed Sales Counselor at KB Home is responsible for engaging with prospective homebuyers, guiding them through the sales process for newly constructed residential homes. This role involves generating leads, conducting sales presentations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the homebuying journey. The counselor will also maintain the sales environment and marketing materials, while actively seeking new prospects through networking and referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and provides literature and information to prospective homebuyers.
  • Demonstrates models and discusses floor plans and construction options.
  • Overcomes sales objections and closes sales to create satisfied customers.
  • Receives offers and applications, answering questions about financing.
  • Documents sales transactions and follows up on loan applications.
  • Conducts weekly follow-up calls with buyers until home closes.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of sales models and community.
  • Updates marketing materials for distribution to potential buyers.
  • Searches for new prospects through networking and referrals.
  • Utilizes competitive market analysis and data-driven tools to sell homes.
  • Contacts real estate brokers and conducts presentations to attract them to KB communities.
  • Hosts grand openings and community events.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current local real estate license required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Previous sales experience required; new home sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to connect with people and maintain professional relationships.
  • Action-oriented with a drive to close sales successfully.
  • Customer-centric approach to seeking solutions from the customer's perspective.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team setting and cooperate with others.
  • Makes quick and accurate decisions based on facts and data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner.
