About the position

The part-time onsite maintenance technician position involves skilled maintenance and repairs for a 5-story mid-rise condominium in Midtown Atlanta. The role is essential for ensuring the community is properly and safely maintained, focusing on various maintenance tasks as directed by the Board and Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure efficient operation of building systems.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, and drains.
• Manage vendors and/or basic project management tasks.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems and equipment as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid, unexpired driver's license with a clear driving record.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and complete verbal and/or written instructions proficiently.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of chillers and boilers is desirable.
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, including documentation and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of state or local governmental safety requirements.
• Ability to safely operate, climb, and perform work on ladders (1-2 stories).
• Ability to operate a smartphone and email for day-to-day operations and communication.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, pull/push, grasp, twist, reach above shoulder, walk, stoop, kneel, and climb.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to input data into information systems and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• 3-5 years of experience in general maintenance or building trades (preferred)

Benefits

• Compensation of $25 - $30 per hour based on experience.
• Part-time work schedule of 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
